![]() Oh, an annoying thing though - having to keep apps on screen for them to function properly, like exporting on Luma Fusion. ![]() It took me some time to learn Luma Fusion but I’m getting comfortable with it. I also feel that most stuff that one needs to do can be done on the iPad. There are some things I can do only on the MB but so far, my workflow worked just fine. I haven’t used my MacBook Air since I’ve bought the MK. This is all just from a productivity standpoint, but being able to use Lightroom or something from the couch on a tablet is great, can use the pencil to make small tweaks, the screen is amazing, and yeah there’s a lot of benefits in my eyes outside of my professional career. Not to mention pencil and touch support is nice, using it to build flow charts in lucid chart or something, is way more comfortable than a trackpad, at least to me. I guess a MacBook could give me some of this, but for what I am using it for, I kind of enjoy not having all the power of a full desktop OS. ![]() Which creates kind of a weird workflow, but I feel the iPad having a screen just big enough to type some stuff up comfortably, having significantly less distractions and lets me walk away from the computer for a bit and clear my head while still being productive. I even write up all of my documentation on my iPad now. Since I got my 12.9 w/ magic keyboard mostly everything I do outside of development is on my iPad.įor me, I see it as a laptop replacement, but not a workstation replacement. ![]()
